Early Friday Morning, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported that DE Myles Garrett requested a meeting with Browns’ current Owner, Jimmy Haslam; Haslam declined. NFL Network first reported that Haslam declined Garrett's request to meet and directed him to speak with general manager Andrew Berry, who oversees football operations. The Browns remain adamant about keeping Myles Garrett.
Garrett first requested a trade in early February, saying the Browns' future is not aligned with winning right now. Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com also said that Garrett is not open to a contract extension with the team. Garrett is currently under contract in Cleveland for 2 more seasons, If the Browns happen to move Garrett before 6/1 then the Browns will be on the hook for a ton of dead cap. See pic below!
