On Friday, Browns fans were shocked to hear that the Browns agreed to terms with 2023 Browns hero, quarterback Joe Flacco. Flacco played for the team for the remaining six games of the 2023 season, leading the team to its first playoff berth since 2020. The Browns opted to move another direction in 2024, putting injured QB Deshuan Watson back at the helm.
During the last off-season, Flacco agreed to a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts and saw some playing time, though his performance was not as strong as it had been in Cleveland. After the season concluded, reports suggested Flacco would not re-sign with Cleveland, but the agreement was eventually reached. He inked a one-year deal worth $4 million to return to the Browns, with potential incentives totaling up to $13 million. As a fan, this made me happy, I still think Flacco has a lot left in the tank and he fits what the Browns do. I am very excited to see how the quarterback room battles next season!
