Our take on the Andrew Berry press conference

Browns EVP/General Manager Andrew Berry had his annual pre-combine press conference today, and it brought up a lot of touchy subjects that have kept Browns fans waiting since the season ended!

During Andrew Berry's press conference on Tuesday, he stated that the team will continue to hold strong on their stance regarding Myles Garrett and they will NOT trade him. Garrett requested a trade earlier this month, but the Browns' brass has continued to assure fans that Garrett will not be traded.

On the draft front, Berry was asked, "Would you be willing to trade the second pick if the right offer comes?" Berry stated that the team views it as too early to start discussions, but he would listen to any offers that possibly come up in the future. Travis Hunter was also brought up today, and it is clear that Berry and the Browns value his talent, and he would likely play wide receiver if drafted by the Browns. However, Berry did state he is one of the most flexible players in the draft with the ability to play on both sides of the football.

Another hot topic was Andrew Berry's opinion on Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who has been linked to the Browns on multiple occasions and has been mocked to the team in several national mock drafts. Berry said a lot of good things about him, calling him "really smart" and "really driven," which is big praise for a guy who could potentially be the second overall draft pick.

Andrew did state that the team will allow all-pro running back Nick Chubb to test free agency, but as of right now, he is likely to return to Cleveland. The Browns don't feel like Chubb will get the money he is looking for due to his age and back-to-back season-ending injuries.

Overall, the Browns have to take this week seriously to get the players and fans back on board this ship. This draft has a lot of talent, and hopefully, they can maximize in April.

P.S. There is no update on Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah but he is doing everything he can medically to play.
